STATE CHANGE

State Change was an installation created for an exhibition at the California Academy of Sciences. The theme of the exhibition was "metamorphosis." 

My team decided to focus on the metamorphosis of gasoline from a liquid to a gas.  We discovered that one gallon of gasoline becomes about 700 gallons of exhaust. 

To demonstrate this concept, we rigged the tailpipe of a 1999 Honda and filled 700 balloons with car exhaust.  The resulting sculpture was an attempt to visualize the invisible consumption of fossil fuels.
